Researchers have developed a survey instrument to assess students' knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI. The instrument combines multiple measures to capture various aspects of literacy and actual knowledge. It was implemented in a higher education setting and found to be useful in identifying common misconceptions among students, particularly regarding how AI systems work.
